Author & Non-Profit Website Design for Michael Palombi, Prisoner of Hope Ministries
Author Mike Palombi’s memoir, How’s It Feel, Tough Guy?, is the story of his struggle with addiction and crime which eventually led to imprisonment in New Jersey. From Prisoner of Pride to Prisoner of Hope is Mike's story of sin and redemption, and giving back to those who feel hopeless. He wanted a website that would not only feature this powerful story, but also combine his non-profit, Prisoner of Hope Ministries. He originally had a Wordpress website, but felt it lacked a clean, modern, and professional design. He also felt it was not user-friendly for the consumer or for himself on the back end to make changes and write blog posts to it.
By pulling themes used in the book cover design and Mike’s preference of the color blue, his author and non-profit website uses strong colors, a powerful, hopeful logo, clean fonts, and subtle, strategic texture to carry the theme throughout the site. Despite featuring a single book at the moment, the site has been created to be sustainable so that new books may be added in the future without having to start again. The non-profit ministry theme was carried throughout the site, as well, as the book and ministry go hand-in-hand.
